LILI CASELEY – SINGLE REVIEW

Lili Caseley – Have I Ever
Lili Caseley - Have I Ever

Release Date: Out Now

Well here’s an example of why you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover or, for that matter, the prologue. North London singer-songwriter Lili Caseley looks like she’s stepped out of a Laura Ashley catalogue and starts new single ‘Have I Ever’ with the gentle ripple of plucked strings giving the tune a romanticised beginning. Then comes a big ol’ squelchy synth bass line from the Deejay Punk-roc play book and a Snoop Dogg beat which all adds up to nothing compared to Caseley’s voice. Soft, soulful and classy but with a sensual edge that comes from her Portuguese heritage, this is a voice that could tame the savage of beasts but also move a night out from just a date to a night of pure romance. And that’s a real talent.
