of teeth-clenched and tightly strung agit-rock then do your stretches and lock
in for this bad mutha. New single ‘Discreetly’ from LWM favourites Berries is
now out for your enjoyment and the three-piece have stripped their sound right
back to basics. There’s a Britpop energy inspired by the likes of Elastica,
Posh and Frente but also a searing rock sound that you might expect to have
heard in the practice rooms of Seattle in the early days of the grunge scene.
Berries are the kind of band that just need to get one song in to the right ears
and they will lift off in a big way but in the meantime, they are doing the
right thing in playing great songs in great venues with great bands. Which is great.
