TOR MILLER – SINGLE REVIEW

Tor Miller – Friends With You (Glassnote
Tor Miller - Friends With You
Records)

Release Date: Out Now

This is the second track I’ve heard from New Yorker Tor Miller and I’m pretty much sold already. I normally have a three song/date rule but I’m ready to drop my pants right about now (you can read that in the American or English vernacular). ‘Friends With You’ is a classic tale of falling in romantic love with your best friend but it’s played out with the emotional rawness of Noah Gundersen, the pop-rock chops of Fallout Boy and the all-American power of Springsteen. Add in Miller’s driving piano playing and his rasping, desperate vocal and you can’t deny that this is a storming track which marks our cards for Miller to be a huge star in the future. The genius about his music is the number of audiences it straddles from the disaffected youth, the indie kids, the pop groupies and those who just enjoy well-crafted songs delivered with passion. Now, where did I put my wallet….?
