Toronto trio Bleeker are back and
they’ve stepped up to another level with their new single. ‘James Dean’ is one
of those tracks that straddles the barrier between alt-pop and straight-up pop
as the band employ a particularly uplifting melody and lyrics that idolise the
young, free and wild lifestyle that James Dean epitomises. There’s a swagger to
this that would fit in to a One Direction or Maroon 5 set but if it did then it
would be heralded as a stylish fresh take on the genre.
