Kompozyt have played a blinder in teaming up with Lee Scratch Perry for this
latest release, duo out on 7” vinyl at the end of April. The A-side, ‘Hidden
Force’, features the legendary Lee Scratch Perry on vocal duties and he is in
fine form with trade-mark barely intelligible lyrics adding a bob and flow to
the electro-dub created by the brothers Kompozyt. This is chilled out, late
night stuff that creates an aura of disorientation and spaced out fun which is
hard to resist. The flip side of this single is ‘Homesick’ which is another
dubby, laid back affair loose strung around a trilling trumpet melody that
flutters in and out of consciousness like a confused bumble bee on the first
warm day of Spring. Definitely one to add to the collection.
