I do love an interesting press-shot
and this one from Canadians Goosebump is a doozy – mainly because it does
nothing to suggest what the song is going to sound like. You see, once ‘She Don’t
Say Goodbye’ kicks in you quickly realise that this is a gorgeous lo-fi disco
number hung on a slinky bass riff and embellished with a cornucopia of
instrumentation thrown in like a chef making up a new recipe. There are
elements of Bowie, Arcade Fire, Scissor Sisters, Zappa and Maximo Park in there
and you could be forgiven for thinking that these guys were already set for one
of the mid-level stages at Glastonbury….if it was running this year.
