What more is there to say about
Patawawa? The Matlock trio have been consistently impressing listeners with
their ultra-cool and funky singles, so much so that new label Cookie Records
have picked them up for latest release ‘Lie’. The woozy and carefree melody of ‘Lie’
is matched by a funky Daft Punk meets Flat Eric beat and then the gorgeous
vocals that are so cool that the dance floor will light up upon hearing the chorus
break out. Everything about this track just drips with excellent influences, a
group of people who know what they’re trying to achieve and a real sense of fun.
“I’m dazed and I’m confused” they sing but there is no confusion that these guys
have hit on a magic formula that needs to be heard further afield so go spread
