I always like to look at the names of band members to see if they could make a good firm of solicitors and I think Cambridge quintet could just be the winners. Kunkel, Cross, Golder, McKenzie and Winch is the kind of firm of ballbusting litigators that Tom Cruise could only dream of portraying in a 90s Hollywood blockbuster. Anyway, new single ‘This is Rock’n’Roll’ has just been unleashed on the world and it’s a bit of a trip. Somewhere between the Doors and Deep Purple is where this slab of rock’n’roll exists with the chunky riffs of two guitars, the slick rolling bass of the excellent Claudia McKenzie (no legal experience) and organs slathered all over the driving drums. It turns out these guys know what they’re talking about – this IS rock’n’roll. Not a legal practice.
