LA duo Magic Wands are coming to
Europe and, in time honoured tradition, they’ve sent a calling card ahead of
them in the shape of new single ‘DNA’. The dreamy guitars kick in from the get-go
and you can almost feel that California sun on your skin which is oh so welcome
right now in dreary England. If you’re looking for a reference point to hang
this on, then go for something like Tennis and Lana Del Rey being produced by
the XX with sun pouring in through the windows of a wood panelled studio. Then
again, don’t worry about reference points, just close your eyes and lie back
while this washes over you like a warm summer breeze.
