Well, here’s a jaunty little number
that has more positivity and perk than anyone has a right to have at the
mid-point of a bleak grey British winter. ‘It’s Alright’ has all the urgency
and pace of the protagonist in a low budget indie film running or cycling to
their one true love to finally ask them the big question. The throbbing pulse
of the bass and rattle of the drums keep everyone on their toes while the
guitars and pure-as-the-driven-snow vocals put this in to the folk-pop part of
the musical spectrum warmth and aplomb. Take elements of Fleet Foxes, Marika
Hackman and Jake Morley and then wrap them up with a white bow and a winning
smile – that’s Me & The Moon for you.
