Orangeville outfit Falcon Jane bring
us ‘Go with the Flow’ and it’s very hard not to take them at their word. The melodies
initially sound like they need to be sped up but if you go with the flow as
they suggest then you can fully enjoy the slowed down and woozy beauty of this piece.
Think Tennis on a particularly lazy, sunny afternoon or Lana Del Rey when she’s
chilling with a Mojito and a cigarette. I’m not sure I’ve heard drums played with
a softer touch and the drowsy vocals are delightful like a drunken haze coming
over you gently, creeping up on you like a warm hug. Gorgeous stuff.
