Despite sounding like a really
naff Egyptian theme park, Pyramid Park is actually a delicately balanced slice of
indie-pop with a warm and innocent heart, judging by new single ‘Born To Be
Brave’. Pitched somewhere between Scouting For Girls, Rooney, Franz Ferdinand
and Belle & Sebastian, this track has a gloriously bubbling bass line,
perky guitars and beats that wouldn’t be out of place on a Bastille track or
some of Coldplay’s more recent output. Genuinely heart warming and refreshing
material at the start of a new year, then. Never a bad thing.
