This song may have been created
by Danish musician Ea Kaya but it belongs in the humid air of a Miami pool
party – or at least the video does. ‘Remedy’ has an assured vibe to it as it
rides a wave of electro-beats and sumptuous synths, allowing Ea Kaya’s vocal to
come out fighting like Rhianna or Rita Ora at their feistiest. There’s a
persistent and slightly malevolent sense of mischief throughout this track but
it resolves in to a triumphant, teeth-gritted piece of defiance and that is
always going to get my vote in a pop song.
