ASHLEY HEIGHT – SINGLE REVIEW

Ashley Height – Synchronise
Ashley Height - Synchronise

Release Date: November 2017

Cornishman Ashley Height is a bit of a virtuoso by all accounts but, like many a virtuoso, productivity and self-promotion are not his strength. So, after years of gigging, ‘Synchronise’ is actually the man’s debut single but it has been worth the wait. The opening bars of guitar notes and percussive melody create an atmosphere of hustle and bustle but with a light sense of care-free hedonism lifting you above the daily stress. Taking the best parts of the likes of Jake Morley and Newton Faulkner, the spirit of more recent Incubus material and a smidge of Wille & the Bandits, Height creates a genuinely original flavour using these carefully chosen ingredients. There is a full album to follow and if this taster is anything to go by then we’ve got a real treat awaiting us.
