For those of you not yet acquainted with William ‘Bootsy’
Collins firstly, shame on you, where have you been? Secondly, please meet the
funkiest man you’re ever likely to have the pleasure, nay, privilege to meet. ‘Ladies
Night’ is the new single and it’s a low-down, dirty, funky piece of shizz all
hung around Bootsy’s thick slice of bass but embellished with the guest vocals
of Blvckseeds and MC Eiht. In terms of being a party anthem, well, put it this
way, I can imagine Snoop Dogg getting his groove on to this as the wonky synths
and tight groove keep your head bobbing all the way through. The video is a
whole lot of animated retro fun too so come get involved.
