are ten-a-penny but those that are Maltese born and have incredibly sultry
voices are less common. I Am Willow is this less common and wonderfully sultry
talent and her new single ‘Hearts In The Night’ has a beautifully wonky vibe
about it that makes it really stand out. If you want to pigeon hole this, you’d
be looking at a Lana Del Rey penned track, sung by Lordes or Kimbra but with
Years & Years performing the music and Jamie XX on production duties. I Am
Willow has that holy grail talent in a unique vocal style matched with a tune
that sticks out from the pack and that makes this a genuinely exciting
prospect.
