Boston beauties Whatever Whatever
have a new single and it’s a peach, a real peach. ‘House Boy’ is all lazily
jaunty guitars and dusky vocals with a motown meet slacker indie vibe that is
to die for. The pop undertone has a feeling that reminds me of Florence + The
Machine without all the seriousness and over dramatism and a smidge more fun in
the melody department. Frontwoman Liz Duska has a real talent for playing
different characters within her vocal performance, a little like Gwen Stefani
at her best, and musically this couldn’t be tighter so expect to hear this pop
in a movie montage sometime soon. Real soon….
