Something fresh and juicy from
Fresno no as American songstress Olivia May presents her new single for 2017 in
the shape of ‘Tonight’. To begin with, this is all hopeful and optimistic like
a Katy Perry pop smasher or Carly Rae Jepson in grown up mood with synths
swirling and squeaking all around. The skittish beats, however, give this
something of an edge that transcends standard pop music and lifts Olivia May in
to a different stratum with altogether more rarefied company. I find myself
compelled to believe that this is only a taste, a mere morsel of what this
Californian can produce so I will be keeping my eyes and ears open for more.
