JACK CONMAN - SINGLE REVIEW

Jack Conman - Misty Central (Warren Records)
Jack Conman - Misty Central

Release Date: Out Now

With a name like Jack Conman, his brooding looks and influences from Ben Howard and Bombay Bicycle Club to Alt-J and Dry The River you'd fully expect this guy to be on the cover pretty much every magazine going. As it is, Beverley boy Conman is still bubbling under the surface of things so new single 'Misty Central' is a treat just for us at the moment. Lucky, aren't we? Well, yes actually. Using his acoustic with a Jake Morley-esque tapping style, Conman employs a smooth, dubby groove and his vocal is liquid soul like a James Morrison or Brother And Bones in reflective mood. The song itself is instantly grabbing but the style and swagger of the man exudes from every beat and thrum of the tune so you've got to expect that there's more to come from the man.
