racket makers, Damn Vandals, are back with another suitably rebellious single.
'I Hate School' might sound like the sulky anthem of a bunch of grumpy teenage
grunge fans but it's actually more like the cruising anthem of a bunch of
pissed off, Ray Ban wearing wasps looking for trouble. Snarling guitars, chunky
drums and a Shane McGowan meets Mark E Smith vocal yelp make this a perfectly
attitude fuelled slice of garage punk that comes in at just over the prescribed
three minute mark. There is also an ace video featuring an awesome l'il dude
doing trick shots on a pool table and filmed on a Super 8 which fits the tune
superbly well. Keep them coming Damn Vandals, one day the world will wake up
and smell your beans. Coffee beans, that is.
