It's not often you get an email that
declares it features information on Finland's hottest up-and-coming rap artist
so when I received news of the new single by Finnish rapper View my interest
was piqued. 'Lace' is said single and
features the guest talents of LCMDF (presumably some futuristic flat pack
furniture) as the sparse, Roni Size-esque beats start to penetrate the cold
night air. There are elements of Tricky in here as well but with a slightly
less threatening edge and perhaps more of a nod to the pop world. View himself
is a subdued and menacing talent but there is an undeniable quality to this
that pulls the listener in like a strange shadow at the end of a dark corridor.
Is that the outline of a ghostly figure or a trick of the light? There's only
one way to find out....
