JUNKYARD CHOIR - SINGLE REVIEW

Junkyard Choir - Sun Moon Stars
Junkyard Choir - Sun Moon Stars

Release Date: Out Now

Blues Grunge duos. They're ten a penny nowadays right? The Black Keys, Moriaty, The Graveltones, Royal Blood and now we have Junkyard Choir. But do we need them? Well, new single 'Sun Moon Stars' is certainly bluesy with a whisky soaked, roll up stained, gravel toned vocal that sounds like a cement mixer full of the shattered dreams of the also runs and might have beens. The drums have a punky edge to them - supported by the mere two minute length of this track - but the guitars exist more in the upbeat grunge sphere. To be clear, these guys are a Blues Grunge duo but with a party ethos to rival the best and a punk work ethic that others could learn from. So, yes, we do need them. We need Junkyard Choir like you need a proper blow out including shots, curry and possibly a strip club on the first pay day after Christmas. Oh, and the artwork is aces so extra points for that if I gave out points. Which I don't. But, y'know, it's cool artwork.
