London city trio Dark County are
back with a new single and I hope, for your sake, that you're wearing
protection. From the first crackle of the guitar, 'Say To You' is a sleazy,
easy rocking, loose loving piece of rock'n'roll that is hell bent on partying
with the Black Keys, Jon Spencer, the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Violent Soho
and Louis XIV. The guitars are scuzzy, the drums relentless and the vocals are
soaked in high percentage alcohol, leaving on the fine line between incoherent
and passionate. There's even a snarling guitar solo ending to the song just to
finish you off in style with a wink and a lick of the lips. It's only
rock'n'roll but boy do I like it!?!
