So here we have a great combination
- a true pop icon and one of the all time great DJs. This is one of the last
remixes ever created by the late, great Frankie Knuckles and it's kinda cool
that he did it for Holly Johnson, a British pop institution. 'Follow Your
Heart' is a dyed in the wool, nailed to the wall club banger with a real 90s
house feel and that distinctive Johnson vocal sassing and sizzling all the way
through. There is a slightly dubious moment where Johnson urges us to
"follow through" which must have a different meaning in Liverpool but
on the whole this is an up-tempo dance triumph with gorgeous rippling synths
and great piano stabs. There is a tinge of sadness when Johnson sings
"take a leap across this great divide", though. We miss ya Frankie.
