Macy O - Roll With Me Tonight (So, Let's
Talk/Moose Records)
Release Date: Out Now
Lock the door, close the curtains, and put the phone on silent - this one needs your attention. Shropshire songstress Macy O has a special talent for making the world stop and her new single 'Roll With Me Tonight' has just that affect. Jazzy, soulful piano notes set the tone before a fat bass, loose beat and smoky vocals join in to slow everything down. If you imagine a Venn diagram of Sade, Joss Stone, and Alicia Keys with 90s RnB at the centre then you're on the right course and you're in for a great night. The sweeping strings add a nice touch but, honestly, I could listen to that juicy bass and sumptuous voice all night even if you stripped everything else away.
