Astralingua are Joseph Andrew Thompson and Anne Rose Thompson (not the Thompson
Twins though) and their new single, ‘A Poison Tree’, is a real slice of
something really quite refreshing. The folk element is clear for all to see
with the gentle interplay of strings giving the Thompson voices a delicate
stage upon which their voices can roam freely. There is a soothing, calming to
this tune that works so perfectly with the flicker of candle light at this time
of year so draw the curtains and put this on in the background.
