Going solo without 'the Liberation' Swedish artist Josefin Ohrn is gearing up for the release of her debut solo album later this year. The first single from that album, 'Cherry Tree', is a slow burner of a song but, coupled with the effortlessly glamorous video, this track really hits the spot. There is a hint of Bowie in the chugging melody (and sortorial notes) but also some Lou Reed in the intimately delivered vocals in the verse. The soaring chorus lifts the mood beautifully, however, and the whole song perfectly presents the grit and glamour of a city with billionaires driving down the streets where the poor sleep at night - hope and despair in one night time drive.
