The military drumming at the start of 'The Fire' gives the feeling that you're being marched to the guillotine or gallows but fear not, tis just Dutch collective De Staat. That beat becomes a call to arms and a call to the dance floor before the band launch into their acerbic take on modern society with the repeated line "I wouldn't worry 'bout the fire, it's only burning overseas". This is a long awaited return from De Staat and when they're in this kind of fighting mood you have to be moist with anticipation about the forthcoming new album and tour.
