I'm starting to think Alewya is the artist we didn't know we needed in 2026 as new single 'Maktoub' continues her run of excellent singles. Along with the cinematically superb video, this track mixes frenetic beats with laid back vocals bringing us a '26 take on M.I.A. and a bona fide summer banger to get your beach parties going. If nothing else, the sheer sense of freedom in this track makes it a strong contender for single of the year.
