It is so comforting that there are still people out there making life affirming and confident pop that will help people when they're going through tough times. Natalie Shay's latest release is the defiant 'Sorry For U' which takes the approach of feeling sorry for the one who did the jilting because of the person they've missed out on being with. There's a radio friendly American sheen to this (think Carly Rae Jepson but with a more British edge) and the video of Shay and her besties living their best life in London make this the kind of package that should have movers and shakers paying attention. This is the pop we need in the world right now (I can almost picture Kier Starmer singing this to Donald Trump in a Love, Actually inspired video. Almost).
