HAVVK - Bad Look (VETA Records)

The tag line in the PR for the new single by duo HAVVK claims that they are "one of the best bands in Ireland at the moment" but on their current form I reckon they could take on all comers, regardless of geographical location. 'Bad Look' opens with slamming drums, chunky guitars and vocals that are both sweet and sneering creating a sound that draws you in but puts your nerves on edge at the same time. There's a new album on its way in June as well so keep your eyes and ears peeled - as horrific as that sounds.
