This is the debut release from London based a forsest and it's sold as alt folk but don't be fooled into thinking this is a gently twee number. No sir, 'Something I Need' may start with just voice and guitar but soon explodes into something with a genuine rock'n'roll heart and a confident stride. Fans of Frank Turner will lap this up but equally Passenger enthusiasts will hook into the warm vocals but when that piano takes over in the middle eight you know you're listening to something musically and emotionally special. If this is the debut then you've got to believe there are even bigger and better things to come which is, frankly, tantalising.
