Welsh collective Waterpistol start off in an indie-jangle kinda mood on new single 'Felin' but the delicate vocals of Rhea Padua catch you off guard and suddenly the whole song shifts. Sure, there's a lo-fi 90s Britpop vibe here but the band have backed themselves with a big sound like early Embrace or Super Furry Animals. However, there's also a sense that these guys have travelled and I don't mean a weekend in Bristol - I'm talking international soul searching travel or introspective trips fuelled by nature's finest funghi. Wherever they've been, I'm glad they ended up at my door with this record under their arm.
