I'm an absolute sucker for a piano based melody so this new release from UK artist Meg Lawrensen had me hooked from the get-go. 'Moon' opens with a sparse but steady piano rhythm before Lawrensen's warm, heartfelt vocals join in to make the song swell and fill in the gaps. This is the kind of simple but emotive song that is prime soundtrack material and shows off an artist able to create something huge from just the piano and her voice. Outstanding and astounding.
