I will forever be grateful for the perky, thoughtful, and witty indie-pop of Gingeralla, a shot of rum in the flat coke of life, if you will. The band's new single, 'In The Presence Of A Woman', harks back to the 90s heyday of Camden High St replete with bands like Menswear, 60ft Dolls and Out Of My Hair with the fuzzy guitars, tales of casual dalliances and bouncy melodies. Oh, and there's a B-side, 'Fuck Sake Kate', which is a laid back indie romp bemoaning someone being late but not caring in the style of the Kooks or early Blur. I've said it before and I'll say it again, thank fuck for indie rock'n'roll, thank fuck for Gingerella.
