I love, love, love discovering new artists whether they are brand new or just new to me and Edinburgh trio Thundermoon definitely fall into the latter category. From the name, I assumed this was going to be three hard rocking blokes with AC/DC t-shirts (no bad thing) but I couldn't have been wider of the mark. 'The Spirit, The Law' finds our holy trinity of talent in fine form as fluttering synths emerge atop an urgent beat and dream but dead-eyed vocals place somewhere between the XX, Goose and 90s rave culture. This is genuinely one of the most exciting tracks I've heard in 2025 and I wasn't expecting that as we enter the winter months. Bravo, indeed.
