Coming straight outta Crediton in Devon come young bucks Burnt Daylight and their latest single, 'The Ghost'. The bubbling bass line and laid back guitars give this track a smooth jazz vibe that I wasn't expecting but these are clearly accomplished young musicians exploring their sound. There are elements of funk and Jamiroquai inspired soul in among the splashing cymbals and mirroring of the vocal melody in the guitars. It's a more polished and professional side than you'd reasonably expect from a band this young so they've clearly got a heat start on their peers and who knows how long they will go from this position.
