Newquay trio 50 Year Storm make a welcome return with their unique brand of synth fuelled dark rock-pop. 'Window Of Reality' might sound like a prog-rock noodle-fest but it's actually a high-octane romp through neon-lit streets which puts me in mind of a Tron-esque film in need of a soundtrack. "Double espresso kind of morning" is a great opening line and the synths and guitar duel spectacularly like Muse's Matt Bellamy trying to defeat the robot clone of himself in a musical battle. The perfect tune to prove that Cornwall doesn't just produce wistful acoustic artists.
