Third Girl From The Left - Tick Tock

I was worried that I wouldn't 'get' this track as I haven't joined up with the social media platform which shares its name with the title but, thankfully, that's where the connection ends. 'Tick Tock' opens with an eerie, stuttering beat that would be terrifying if played in a dark cellar in isolation. Fortunately, Third Girls From The Left's atmospheric vocal and a moody synth joins in, elevating the mood ever so slightly but still retaining the overall sense of tension. There is fragility here albeit mixed with a Miss Havisham-esque steeliness that will have you backing out of the door without blinking.
