There's a metronomic, clockwork rhythm to this latest single from Devon troubadour Ollie Dixon that is almost hypnotic. 'Rebirth' is a mood, sunset-over-the-moors kind of song with violin snaking in between low plucked guitar notes and Dixon's breathy, folky vocal making for a soothing listen underpinned with a little sadness at what's left behind. Hints of Jamie Yost, Noah Gundersen and Ben Howard are all in there but there's something elemental about the music Ollie Dixon creates that makes this sound so uniquely his.
