Leeds' Bathing Suits aren't messing about or being particularly subtle on their intense new single 'I Can Be A Freak'. Pounding beats and electro melodies create a paranoia laced nightclub vibe while the repeated vocal refrain of "I can be a freak" is initially convincing and then becomes a Queen Gertrude from Hamlet statement. There's a certain brilliant desperation to this track that keeps me coming back for me in the way that Marie Davidson and Soulwax achieved on 'Work'. Intensely brilliant and brilliantly intense.
