I'm loving discovering WITCH this year, not least because I've just learned that the name is, in fact, an acronym that stands for We Intend To Cause Havoc. Brilliant. Anyway, the Zambian band's new single, 'Kamusale', starts like an agit-punk song before settling into a 70s inspired groove with deep riffs, energetic percussion and vocals delivered in an almost shamanic style through distorted and delay drenched mics. When the backing vocalists join in with the chant of "kamusale" you can imagine yourself at some form of Woodstock absolutely loosing your mind, topless and shaking out all the negative energy from your life.
