I normally give cover versions a wide berth but there have been a few excellent ones that have recently popped up in my inbox so I thought I'd give the best of them a share. British-French duo Pamela have tackled the Blur classic 'Girls & Boys' and stripped it back to that icon bass line and then piped the vocals directly into your subconscious from the shady corner of an abandoned nightclub. As the song builds through a fog of glitches and synthetic bloops you get a real sense of LCD Soundsystem meets Daft Punk in a Camden pub having time travelled back to 1994 on a Bill and Ted inspired adventure. Banging.
