Sam Sparro's 'Black & Gold' has always been a bit of a one hit wonder banger but the refresh that Gilda House have given it is as brilliant as it is unexpected. The Montana synth pop trio have added a darkness to the pre-existing swagger and the electro swirl that envelopes the pulsating beat is the perfect foil for the wispy, siren-esque vocals. Think Goldfrapp with Matt Bellamy on guitar solo and a Trent Reznor in the production booth.
