Apologies up front to Bettina for getting this review out on release day which was, appropriately, also her birthday. Better late than never, however, so here's my review of 'Happy Birthday', for what it's worth. There is a light, poppy energy to this track but then the rapid vocal delivery gives it a bit more edge and attitude which is what makes this so intriguing - like a birthday cake laced with vodka. Lyrically, this is a big middle finger to someone who has done Bettina wrong and if you can't flip off your enemies on your birthday then when can you?
