It's brave for a bunch of Mancunians to take on a song by a Liverpudlian legend but the 7:45s have done John Lennon proud on their version of the classic 'Don't Let Me Down'. The sentiment is still there but now it is bolstered by lush horns, a deep groove and the kind of guitar that makes you want to turn the alarm off and stay in bed with lover all day. Martin O'Connor brings his A-game on vocal duties, adding a crooning quality to a song that is both a slow dance and baby making music. Lennon would abide.
