THE NEW EVES - SINGLE REVIEW

The New Eves - Highway Man (Transgressive
Records)

Release Date: Out Now

Don't call Brighton quartet the New Eves a girl band but you should definitely call them because they've something to say. The four piece make their first release via their new label with 'Highway Man' and it starts with a beat that could be an homage to Adam and the Ants but the rest of the song has a darker, more direct punk vibe. There are hints of the Eyelids and 12 Rounds in the rhythmic and hypnotic guitar riff paired with the direct vocal delivery while the chaotic guitar solo feels like it was recorded in one take with a dog chasing the guitarist around the studio. I'm going to put money on the fact these guys are insanely good live as well so get out there to catch them ASAP.
