The guitar sound at the start of this latest release from Cornish rockers Moosehead is brilliant and will appeal to fans of Tom Morello or early Soundgarden so if that sounds like you then read on. 'Free Your Mind' borrows a little, lyrically, from the En Vogue song of the same name but the sound and vibe couldn't be more different as the snarling rock'n'roll beast brings the kind of energy you want from a guitar band - almost matching their superb live performances but not quite because you can't smell the sweat or feel the spit landing on you in the front row. Vital and hard hitting stuff.
