New music from Eska makes any day a good day and the arrival of new single 'Daddy Long Legs' is very special indeed. A series of bleeps and bloops introduces us to an alien transmission of a song that stands on the shoulders of Prince and Janelle Monae with Eska's strident voice calling out to be taken to our leader. Distorted vocals, sumptuous pop arrangements, a sax solo and the kind of beat that makes a mockery of wannabes trying to dance in the corner - it's a heady and intoxicating brew but then we've come to expect that from Eska, haven't we? Discovering Eska's music has been a top 5 highlight of 2025 and I've got two new kittens this year so that's high praise indeed.
