This one is a proper pumping romp of a track from Billy Nomates as she revs up for an extensive UK and European tour this autumn. 'Plans' has a driving, garage punk energy with a bass and drums combo to die for and the kind of spinning, whirling spirit that you'd expect from a montage scene in an 80s coming of age film. It's the voice of Billy Nomates, however, that really cuts through with a power, passion and earnestness that makes me want to listen to the Indigo Girls again.
